When you can’t be there, we are
Buddy Back Home is that friend you’ve always wished for – the one who will care for your loved ones, just as you would, or even more, when you are miles away from them. We are the friend who answers your call in an emergency, whether it’s legal, medical, or simply a moment when your elderly parents need someone to sit beside them, holding their hands.
Understanding the unique challenges of being far from loved ones, Buddy Back Home was founded with a vision to make life easier across borders. When two women deeply felt the need for a service that bridges the gap between those living abroad and their families back home, they set out to create something extraordinary. What began as elder care has grown into a comprehensive service, supporting over 300 families and we have dedicated “buddies” who deliver love, support, and peace of mind to families across Kolkata, Bengaluru, and Siliguri.
Story of Buddy Back Home: Why It’s Personal to Us
This is the inspiring story of two resilient women, Nabamita and Sangita, who turned life’s challenges into a mission of care and compassion.
Nabamita, living away from home since 2008, was suddenly called back to India to navigate a storm of legal and family crises. In returning, she witnessed the immense struggle children face in managing their parents’ wellbeing from afar.
Amidst this upheaval, she crossed paths with Sangita—a compassionate soul already devoted to elder care. Their meeting was no coincidence; it was the spark for a life-changing journey.
In 2018, they founded Buddy Back Home, a venture born from their shared passion for supporting the elderly. During the COVID-19 pandemic, they stood unwavering, providing groceries, medical aid, and emotional support to vulnerable elders.
Their tireless dedication has not only earned the blessings of those they serve but has also transformed Buddy Back Home into one of the most trusted comprehensive elder care services today.
